The Brief

A label for the classic OG Shack sauce “Mango Habanero”. They wanted the label to communicate the strong personality of the brand but also the flavour of this hot sauce. OG Mango Habanero is a mango based hot sauce that combines the sweetness of local mangos from Málaga at it’s peak of ripeness and the flavourful spice of the habanero. This hot sauce is sweet, acidic, spicy, flavourful and fresh.

The Solution

A funky label with an artisanal presence. Using custom lettering for the label we are able o show it’s character and the originality of the brand. The label takes inspiration from vintage food labeling that combined food illustrations with custom lettering. This lettering has a twist, adding the food illustration as a sticker, and making the lettering minimal but wavy. We add another piece of text highlighted with red or yellow (depending on the spice level), to reinforce the freshness of the mangos the sauce is made with.
